Cassina Point Plantation

When Greg Smith, of Savannah, headed to Folly Beach for a Citadel beach bash, he expected gooey s’mores and thumpin’ music but got more than he bargained for when he met Columbia, South Carolina, native Margaret Kapp there. Two years later on the Fourth of July, the pair cruised Charleston’s Harbor in Greg’s boat while fireworks of all sorts exploded as he proposed. The following April, the two hosted a wedding on the banks of the Edisto River at Cassina Point Plantation with a pretty, clean palette and top-notch takeaway ideas, like floral crate arrangements by Justin Wham Events, silver lanterns as centerpieces, and garden furniture for coffee tables. Besides shots of the most adorable flower girl posse you ever laid eyes on, our favorite images are those Leigh Webber snapped of Margaret and Greg parading through a tunnel of his fellow Citadel grads. By the time the sun set and the candles had melted to nothing, the pair had headed off for an Amalfi Coast adventure.
