Puppy Love

When Stephanie Holbrook and Dan White settled on an intimate 10-person wedding last August at Charleston’s Cannon Green, they knew they wouldn’t be saying “I dos” without their most loyal companion, Cash. And Francesca DiSalvo-Follmer of Pure Luxe Bride helped them pull it off. “I wanted a fun way to incorporate him in the ceremony that allowed him to be himself,” says Stephanie of the four-year-old black lab. Rather than “bow tie” formal, their florist, Petaloso, created a floral and palm collar that offered just the right vibe for the handsome pooch. As it goes with weddings, pictures aplenty were being snapped, when Cash decided he’d had enough. “He’s so disciplined with Dan and never really has been as much with me,” laughs Stephanie. “This photo depicts so much of our relationship, of us having fun but also Cash knowing there were enough photos and it was time to get to the alter to marry Dad.” Cash’s role in the ceremony was to accompany the flower girl, Stephanie’s niece, Olivia, down the aisle, which he did with gusto, practically dragging her to the alter. Says the bride, “It was hilarious, and just the giggle I needed to calm my nerves before I walked out!”
