“Texture adds interest and depth to any gown,” says designer Callie Tein of Modern Trousseau, “but is especially important in bridal because we use an all-white or ivory palette. Essentially my goal is to create a breathtaking design on a blank canvas.” The “Ellis” gown at left speaks to her point. The body showcases French Alençon lace with hand-sewn silver beaded roses. “The overall feel is classic with a modern edge,” says Callie.
