Justin Wham of J.W. Weddings and Events filled vases with oyster shells and single stems of amaryllis to subtly define the way to the ceremony site.

Using real driftwood, Atlantic Tent Rental built an arbor that looked indigenous to the ceremony location.

Katherine Miller and the crew at Atlantic Tent Rental strung oyster shells with twine and hung them from a chandelier frame for a touch of rustic—and relevant—elegance.

In addition to a cake iced with a crab silhouette, d’lish desserts served other sweet treats like coconut macaroons, banana pudding cups, and crab-shaped shortbread cookies.

Caroline Brown and Ryan Bergh must be living right. For starters, Caroline always wanted to get married at the beach; conveniently enough, Ryan’s aunt and uncle own a cottage on Edisto Beach. Her lucky number is 24, and the house sits—yep—right by station 24. Caroline’s sign is cancer (the crab) and Ryan pitches for Lakewood, New Jersey’s…wait for it…BlueCrabs. Given all the coincidences, the pair said their “I dos” on the Lowcountry coast with help from Katherine Miller Events. In keeping with the locale, Caroline carried a bouquet wrapped in sweetgrass, the wedding party donned flip-flops, and the couple exchanged vows under a driftwood arbor before sauntering back down the sandy aisle as Mr. and Mrs.
