John, a sales professional, and Summer, an attorney, met at a cookout downtown, though she noticed his dog before she noticed him. They exchanged numbers and dated for two years until John surprised Summer with a ring followed by a dinner with friends and family featuring all her favorite foods. The wedding and reception were held at Lowndes Grove Plantation. The couple lives in Chicago.
