Charleston native Leslie met Stephen, of Aiken, through friends at East Cooper Baptist Church. After conspiring with the bride’s family about the perfect proposal, Stephen popped the question the day after the couple’s one-year anniversary while sailing in Charleston Harbor. The Mount Pleasant pair said their “I dos” at First Baptist Church and celebrated with a reception at the Creek Club at l’On before jetting off on a Costa Rican honeymoon.
