Stephanie & Mike | Legare Waring House

Stephanie and Michael’s relationship was a love match from the very start. How now, you ask? The duo, who hail from the suburbs of Atlanta, met during one of Stephanie’s tennis practices while she was on a break. They hit it off (pun totally intended) and dated for seven years, really getting to know one another before making the relationship official with the likes of a proposal, colorful fireworks, and a sparkly ring. As they were strolling on a boardwalk, killing time before their dinner reservation in Florida—a quick stop before they boarded their cruise ship—Michael pulled out the diamond and made that moment happen. What a way to start off a vacay, right? Stephanie said yes, of course, and the smitten twosome headed to the Lowcountry, the Summerall Chapel to be precise, to swap “I do’s.” After their first smooch as newlyweds, guests traveled the short distance to Legare Waring House where an al fresco reception with all the trappings of a good party welcomed all. (Seriously, string lights will never fail to make us want to dance the night away.) And while partygoers most certainly did, Stephanie admits that the first dance was the part of the Big Day that she and her new hubby were most nervous about. “Neither of us are great dancers. We took dance classes together before our wedding to try to calm our nerves, but my grandmother still giggled the entire dance because Michael kept looking at his feet.” Let’s raise a glass to this Mr. and Mrs., who two left feet didn’t stop them from having the time of their lives.
