Five years after Myrtle Beach native Rachel and Brandon, of Charleston, met through a mutual friend, Brandon staged a faux retirement-party boat cruise for his stepmother. As the ship passed beneath the Ravenel Bridge, he revealed the real reason for the celebration and proposed to Rachel.
