When Citadel graduate Matthew was first introduced to Marianne by mutual friends in 2011, there were instant sparks. They’d been dating for three years when Matthew proposed during a June fireworks display over the Ashley River. A little more than a year later, Matthew returned to his alma mater, where he and Marianne said ”I do” at The Citadel’s Summerall Chapel. An evening reception followed at the Historic Rice Mill. Marianne and Matthew now live in North Charleston.
