Jan Paul, of Clifton, New Jersey, met Michelle, of Charleston, at Suede in Mount Pleasant, where she was working during a birthday party that Jan Paul was attending. They talked over the next few months and started dating in June 2012. On a vacation to Playa del Carmen, Mexico, in June 2014, Jan Paul surprised Michelle with dinner on the beach—and a ring. They said “I do” at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens.
