Thanks to a bit of match-making by a pal, Jade and Matthew’s six-year friendship turned into a courtship in 2013. After six months of long-distance dating (Matthew had moved to California for a job while Jade remained in Charleston), he proposed. The pair, who now live in New York City, married and celebrated at the Island House on John’s Island.
