Brandon Studebaker & Emily Burton

May 21, 2016

South Carolina natives Emily and Brandon met as students at Winthrop University. One chilly February day in 2015, after third-grade teacher Emily had a long day at school, Brandon convinced her to take a downtown stroll, where he got down on one knee on the corner of Market and East Bay streets. With Emily’s uncle officiating, the two married at the Island House on James Island, then celebrated with a reception at the same venue, dancing late into the night as a friend deejayed. The couple now lives in Summerville.
